  1. “You didn’t build that”

    Why is this so hard to understand? To anyone viewing the full context of that Obama quote (and by context I mean the sentence before that one) it is completely clear that by “that” he was referring to the roads and bridges he mentioned in the previous sentence. But I just watched CNN repeat the out of context quote followed by a clip of Romney saying “the context is worse than the quote”!

    No, the context is perfectly clear and true: collectively we build the infrastructure that allows hardworking individual American business owners to operate. You alone did not build the rail, roads, and ports that transport your goods to market. You alone did not fund and train the police and military forces that keep your goods safe and secure locally and globally. Public schools that educated you and your employees, you didn’t build that shit either.

    My taxes pay for all that as much as anyone’s.

    The guy’s been POTUS for 3 years, I wonder if the GOP will get around to using factual criticism instead of quote mining and outright fabrications to compete against him. Even liberals know that such factual criticism do indeed exist. They just fit poorly into the GOP narrative.
