    Luke 14:26

Jesus wants you to forsake your entire family, your fellow humans and yourself. The apologetics for this piece of scripture say that he’s referring to what you must be prepared to do to follow him; that you must be willing to place him above all else, even your own children. It’s this type of immoral teaching that provides charlatans and crooks the tools they need to control people, “don’t listen to their criticism, they don’t understand us. Intervention shimintvention, let them go. Who needs ‘em anyway?”.
