Not even tagging this. This is too important for that.
This is why I seriously consider moving to Canada.

High ResolutionWow. These used to be put in school books here. We are doomed as a species. (•_O)
… and along with the best quote comes the best image of the day… although I must disagree with wilkidu slightly on his statement that our species is doomed.
Canada would never allow shit like this sticker to end up on school textbooks - and there are numerous other countries around the world that wouldn’t allow this either. So I see it more as a “certain countries, including the USA, are doomed” scenario. =)

Alabama Town Gives Criminals a Choice: Church or Jail?
Seriously Alabama? Now I know that being stuck in church every Sunday morning for many feels like jail but how can they really be allowed to do something like this? What’s the alternative for anyone of no faith or with a religion that doesn’t use a traditional church or one that you can’t find in a small town in Alabama? This makes absolutely no sense to me, but that’s probably because I’m trying to look at it from the logical, reasonable, realistic side of things.
The city judge in Bay Minette (AL) will let misdemeanor offenders choose to work off their sentences in jail and pay a fine; or go to church every Sunday for a year.
If offenders select church, they’ll be allowed to pick the place of worship but must check in weekly with the pastor and police.
If the one-year church attendance program is completed, the offender’s case will be dismissed.
Bay Minette Police Chief Mike Rowland says the program could change the lives of people heading down the wrong path. So far, 56 churches are participating.
What if I want to send those Sunday’s at a Masque, or a temple??

Pastor Mike has a plan: He wants an atheist registry
Brothers and Sisters , I have been seriously considering forming a ( Christian ) grassroots type of organization to be named “The Christian National Registry of Atheists” or something similar . I mean , think about it . There are already National Registrys for convicted sex offenders , ex-convicts , terrorist cells , hate groups like the KKK , skinheads , radical Islamists , etc..Wow, this feels a little Hitlery, doesn’t it? And before anyone can throw a “Hitler was an atheist!” reply at me, Hitler was an avowed CATHOLIC.

wings1295 submitted:
This is just one sample of the posts my father does on Facebook. These are ALL from him, one after another, ranting about something he read on another person’s page. Someone I am sort of related to posted about prayer and someone else (who I don’t know) posted their atheistic viewpoint. Needless to say, he was called an idiot, etc.
My father joined in (at least a dozen comments), and then continued his rant on his own page. He uses his status box to comment, over and over. Some days it runs on for 30-50 posts.
Yeah.
Oh… oh dear. =(

"Genital mutilation of girls is sometimes referred to as “circumcision.” Implicitly, this likens it to male circumcision. If male circumcision meant removing the glans and testicles, and adhering the remains of the penis to the empty sac, the comparison would be valid. It is not valid. “Circumcision” is a term that implies that the practice is acceptable. It is not acceptable. Nor is it culturally “excusable”."

South Dakota Moves To Legalize Killing Abortion Providers | Mother Jones
Next up:
A bill making legal to kill your congressman if they vote to raise your taxes.
A bill allowing people to marry their gun collection.
A bill mandating the use of the bible as a school textbook.
A bill granting fetuses passports and voting rights.
A bill requiring every expectant mother to be discarded and the fetus placed in a guarded growth chamber where it can be protected and worshiped, until the time when it’s fully gestated. At that time, it can be cast into the streets to fend for itself.(Source: underthemountainbunker)
