Typical Christian Conservative scumbag uses Jesus to oppress women
We talked last week about Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback (R) signing sweeping legislation on Friday, restricting reproductive rights in the state. It’s one of the more aggressive efforts we’ve seen — the measure, among other things, declares that life begins “at fertilization,”and requires medical professionals to provide bogus information about a non-existent connection between abortion and breast cancer.
What I did not know is that the Republican governor, while putting his signature on the bill, wrote something else on the page.
An Associated Press photograph taken before the signing shows a page of notes about the bill on Brownback’s desk that included a handwritten message at the top: “JESUS + Mary.” Further down the page were typewritten notes spelling out Brownback’s belief that the bill would create “a culture of life.”
Brownback’s office didn’t respond immediately to requests Friday afternoon for additional information about the notes.

The fetuses of those three animals cannot even be compared to the fetus of a human because all of those animals are endangered. The human race is already past 7 billion. Aside from that, abortion is meant to be a states rights issue, not something that is protected or otherwise by federal law. I, for one, am all for abortion - I, as a male, am incapable of becoming pregnant, and I don’t feel as though I, or anyone else for that matter, should be able to tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her own body. This picture, though, is pure ignorance.
They are also individual beings, able to breath and digest on their own.
Human fetuses are protected by law in the exact same way those other fetuses are. If the mother of Loggerhead Sea Turtle crushes one of her eggs, she is not arrested. If a third party comes along and crushes that egg, that person is arrested. If a mother human gets an abortion, she is not arrested. You are attacking the morality of a 14 year old girl who terminated a pregnancy that would have resulted in a child that neither you or her had the capacity to care for. A girl that preserved your and her own youth, and stopped a child being raised in circumstances that are not fit for any child. You really should be assessing your own morality. What kind of 14 year old boy fucks a 14 year old girl, without protection, gets her pregnant and then runs an online smear campaign against her for doing what was best for her, her family and you? What? You think you had the capacity to raise a child at age 14/15? How would you feed it or look after it? You wouldn’t. Republican madness: House Bill 206, introduced by state Rep. Cathrynn Brown (R), would charge a rape victim who ended her pregnancy with a third-degree felony for “tampering with evidence.”
Pat Davis of ProgressNow New Mexico, a progressive nonprofit opposing the bill, called it “blatantly unconstitutional” on Thursday.
